HARDWARE TECHNICIANS II
The applicant should possess or plan to obtain A+ certification within one (1) year of successful employment with the Ministry.
Primary Responsibilities:
-
Installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrade of computer and related hardware, software and peripherals;

Perform onsite troubleshooting and repair of hardware equipment and software applications;
-
Must be able to keep abreast with hardware and software technology; I
-
Provide technical support to all Government Departments, engineers and other team members throughout the various Government Ministries;
-
Assemble and modify existing pieces of equipment to meet special needs;
-
Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications;

Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements;
-
Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan the layout, including type of computers and peripheral equipment modifications;
-
Analyze user needs and recommend appropriate hardware;
-
Build, test and modify product prototypes, using working models or theoretical models constructed using computer simulation.
