The Caribbean Centre for Development Administration (CARICAD) is currently seeking
applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of
E-Government Advisor. CARICAD is an institution of CARICOM charged with the responsibility to support member governments through the strengthening of managerial capability for more effective implementation of public policy.
Job Objective:
To manage the E-Government Unit at the Caribbean Centre for Development Administration (CARICAD). This Unit has primary responsibility for working towards the E-Government Goal in CARICOM Member States. This goal aims to use technology to transform the provision of services for citizens across the region.
Core Responsibilities
- Planning, management and implementation of E-Government/Governance Plans and activities in the CARICOM Region
- Development of the electronic infrastructure between Governments, intergovernmental agencies and related agencies
- Capacity building for Government Officials and citizens of the region
Education
- Masters degree in Public Administration or Administrative Sciences or Information Systems. Knowledge of ICT policy and applications is an asset
Experience:
- At least 10 years work experience including at least five years experience at a
managerial level. Experience in the design, development and maintenance of
databases and websites, knowledge and experience in e-government and in
knowledge management is essential.
