PM Spencer Congratulates Newly
Elected Grenadian Prime Minister

Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda and Chairman of the Caribbean Community CARICOM, the Hon. W. Baldwin Spencer on Wednesday sent a letter of congratulations to the newly elected Prime Minister of Grenada the Hon. Tillman Thomas.
In his letter to the new CARICOM Head of State, Prime Minister Spencer said that the people of Grenada have entrusted him with the mandate of securing their economic and social development and he is confident that his administration will successfully manage the expectation of change that the people of Grenada have placed in him.
"I take this opportunity to express the full support of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda and look forward to building an excellent working relationship. As Chairman, I also take this opportunity to welcome you to the Councils of CARICOM," PM Spencer wrote.
Prime Minister Spencer also congratulated the National Democratic Congress NDC on their resounding victory in the general elections held on July 8. Prime Minister Tillman Thomas was preceded by Dr Keith Mitchell who held power in Grenada for three consecutive terms.
