It’s all Hands on Deck with Just Days to Go Before
Romantic Rhythms 2008
June 09, 2008
ST. JOHN'S, Antigua
With just about three days to go before the start of the inaugural Antigua and Barbuda Romantic Rhythms Music Festival, work has commenced at the Sir Vivian Richards stadium.
Yesterday, fans to the friendly match between Antigua and Barbuda and St. Kitts would have been greeted by the sight of workmen, both foremen and laborers, putting the pieces together for the stage on which top local, regional and international artists will perform.
Miles Browne chairperson of Venue reports that, "The stage has been erected, the sound crew has been on site and also we will be erecting the hospitality booths and tents today (Monday)."
According to Browne, venue décor will commence today as well.
Furthermore, the first phase of sound has been tested and the second phase will be done today. Lighting elements will be tested tonight. Full testing on all components will be done by Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.
The Romantic Rhythms Festival Committee is reminding all patrons that show-time is 7 pm sharp so do endeavor to be as punctual as possible to avoid long queues at the gate.
Locals are invited to drive by the stadium to see first hand the level of work being done to ensure that our inaugural annual music festival is indeed a huge success.
Ends.
