Hurry Up Early Birds!

Scores of hopeless romantics in Antigua and Barbuda have been capitalising on the Early Bird specials to purchase season tickets for Antigua and Barbuda's Romantic Rhythms Music Festival at US$100.

A limited number are still available, and organisers are encouraging attendees to hurry and save big on their general admission season tickets to the June 12-15 music festival by purchasing them by this Saturday, May 31.

There are also a limited number of nightly general admission tickets going for US$40.

Ticket prices will revert to US$50 per night and US$125 for season tickets on Sunday. Only general admission tickets are eligible for the Early Bird discount.

VIP tickets are also available at US$125 nightly.

Tickets can be purchased from all branches of Romantic Rhythms' sponsors, Cable & Wireless, ABI Bank Limited, LIAT 1974 Ltd, Deluxe Cinema and the Ministry of Tourism.

The Festival Management Committee is reporting record ticket sales via the internet, which they consider an indicator of the impressive numbers that will visit the island from abroad.

Meanwhile, the inaugural Delta Airlines Direct Flight from New York to Antigua on June 12, which coincides with the start of Romantic Rhythms, has been overbooked.

The flight will bring 160 passengers to the island just in time to experience the much anticipated music festival, which will feature world renowned country music star Kenny Rogers and R&B Superstar Lionel Richie, as well as a host of other international, regional and local artistes.

Romantic Rhythms is sponsored by The ABI Financial Group of Companies, American Airlines, Antigua Motors and Cable and Wireless, The Antigua Hotel and Tourist Association, LIAT 1974 Ltd. Antigua Distillery Ltd., Abbott's Jewellery, and Town House Furnishings.
