Wilmoth Daniel was born on the 18th August 1948 in the village of Bolans. He attended the St. John's Boys School and the Hill Secondary School. He is married and is the father of son; Wilmoth Jr. and daughter Stacey. Mr Daniel was a past Manager of Brysons Wholesale Departmentt, Bottling Plant and Building Supplies Department. His current profession is that of Auctioneer.
Mr. Daniel first ran for political office in 1984 as a candidate in the St. Phillip's South Constituency under the UNDP ticket. He has served as:
- Senator in the Upper House, 1989 - 1994
- Member of Parliament, 1994 - 1999.
He is currently the Deputy leader of the United Progressive Party and was one of the founding members of the party.
Wilmoth (as he is popularly known) has proven to be a man of character and strong will and has decided to contest the St. Phillip's South seat once more.
He looks forward to working with the people of the constituency to solve the problems of:
- Deplorable roads in the villages
- Needs of farmers
- Shortage of water
- High unemployment in the area
- Health need of the community
