Barbudans are being urged to know their HIV status even as Caribana Week approaches.

The AIDS Secretariat in the Ministry of Health and the Environment in collaboration with the Barbuda Council are appealing to the general public in Barbuda to play it safe for Caribana 2016 by knowing their HIV Status as the Secretariat conducts a major HIV Testing exercise in Barbuda for Caribana 2016

Under the theme: "Play Safe - Know your HIV Status for Caribana 2016" the exercise is Free and confidential and will be held at the Fisheries Complex.

The four-day event will run from Wednesday May 11th to Saturday the 14th from 10:00am - 6:00pm.

The HIV Prevention and Control Safety team will also be on hand every night in Caribana City.
